Have you tried Plouts?

What are they? A cross between a plum and an apricot, with smooth skin and sweet flesh.
There are 20 varieties ranging in color from yellow and bright orange to pink and deep purple-red. Plouts are rich in dietary fiber and vitamins A and C. Here's the thing, they are only 40-70 calories per 1/2 cup serving. You can enjoy plouts in a variety of ways such as sliced in salads, cobblers or whole grain pilaf or eat then au naturel. Look for firm fruit without blemishes or broken skin.
What a wonderful way to enjoy fresh fruit in the simmer!
